一般層次的實體關係
第一大类（将在 5.2 节中描述）
包括 3.3 节（图 2）一般层次实体-关系图中各实体类型间的关系。
第二、三大类（将在 5.3、5.4 节中描述）包括规范记录中参见结构所映射的
关系（如参照本身、信息附注、说明语或编目员附注）。在一些实际操作中，这
些关系可能通过编码数据生成显示常数而建立。第一类包括个人、家族、团体和

ER模型,全稱為實體聯繫模型或實體關係模型或實體聯繫模式圖(ERD)(Entity-relationship model)
實體(Entity)表示一個離散對象。實體可以被（粗略地）認為是名詞，如計算機、雇員、歌曲、數學定理。關聯描述了兩個或更多實體相互如何關聯。聯繫可以被（粗略地）認為是動詞，如：在公司和計算機之間的擁有關聯，在雇員和部門之間的管理關聯，在演員和歌曲之間的表演關聯，在數學家和定理之間的證明關聯。實體繪製為矩形，聯繫繪製為菱形。

中國的CALIS會進行大量的編目工作,讓別人使用
*CALIS聯合目錄外文編目RDA政策聲明:

台灣的統一編目則是全國書目資訊網和Z39.50
*於個人辨識碼的部分,有些會使用國圖編的號碼,但不是所有作家都會有。
*外國人的全名有時很長,所以需要辨識碼

在台灣的國家圖書館沒有正式地出版一本書來介紹RDA，但是中國國家圖書館有
先著錄屬性再辨識

RDA(Resource Description and Access)是新一代編目規則,自認為是21世紀編目規則
